Solution - Customized Kiosk, App Development, Integration with Backend, App Screens Design.

Kiosk components - Industrial PC, Touch Screen, Credit Card Reader, Receipt Printer, Documents Printer

Technology – Front End - .NET Platform, SOAP API for Backend Integration, XAL for UI/UX, Adobe Illustrator for Wireframes

Challenges – Took over the project midway from previous project manager, CEO, BDM. Project wasn’t scoped properly. Since the documentation wasn’t to the point, client took advantage of it. Commissions, project pricing, operational expense were all dealt at a loss margin.

Key Contributions –Streamlined the project scope, process, redocumented the full list of deliverables, took approvals. Coordinated with development team for testing the deliverables. Client’s business and Technical team testing was too tiring, issues/ bugs were getting reported in bits and pieces.

Took advantage of this and delayed the project to an extent that the project went live just weeks before the contract was about to expire. Having won the client’s trust by going out of the way to deliver things that were not part of scope, subsequently used the same relationship to renegotiate about the existing contractual terms. Thankfully a new contract was negotiated with better commission structure and monthly operational and consumables expenses

Converted a loss project to a profitable venture.

Impact – The introduction of kiosk reduced the load of the client’s customer service representatives by 40%, thereby reducing the waiting time for serving their customers
