Overview – RAK Properties is a real estate firm. They wanted to enable their tenant's utility bill payments through kiosk solution.
Solution - Customized Kiosk, App Development, Integration with Backend, UI/UX Wireframes.
The application is hosted on the MBME centralized kiosk payment solution platform to host the app across MBME generic kiosk
RAK Properties requested a dedicated customized kiosks to be hosted on a couple of their locations apart from the MBME generic kiosk
Kiosk components Industrial PC, AD screen, Touch Screen, Credit Card Reader, Note Acceptor, Receipt Printer, Documents Printer, Scanner, Cheque scanner.
Technology – Front End - .NET Platform, SOAP API for webservice Integration, XAML for UI/UX, Adobe Illustrator for Wireframes, Oracle backend.
Challenges – Kiosk hardware production was initially handled by Production team. final produced kiosk was not made as per the scope. Fpr e.g cheque scanner was part of the deliverable but there was no provision to fit in the kiosk.
Key Contributions – After Successfully delivering the App development phase, the kiosk hardware delivery part (phase 2) was handed over to me.
The kiosk was no where meeting the client’s expectations. Made use of the relationship built with client while delivering the Application part, and convinced the client to take the kiosk as it is and prepared a revised proposal to compensate the changes.
This was by far the most difficult project as it could only be closed through good will and healthy relationship
