Overview – The UAE Pass app is the first national digital identity and signature solution that enables users to identify themselves to government service providers in all emirates. It also enables users to sign documents digitally with a high level of security.
Solution - App Development, Integration with Backend, UI/UX Wireframes.
The application is hosted on the MBME centralized kiosk payment solution platform to host the app across MBME generic kiosk
Technology – Front End - .NET Platform, SOAP API for webservice Integration, XAML for UI/UX, Adobe Illustrator for Wireframes.
Challenges – The longest running project of MBME. Project wasn’t scoped properly. Requirements change every other day, Occasionally APIs doesn’t respond/ App crashes.
Key Contributions – Used Agile methodology to deliver the project. Streamlined the project scope. Took necessary approvals to ensure the change control process is being followed.
Closely monitored ongoing developments to ensure the client requirements are in sync with the product being developed.
Set-up a UAT criteria, UAT plan to stop the breaching as client kept testing at his will and would request enhancements every other day.
After taking over this project, charged client for each change request as earlier client would come up with some bug and would request multiple enhancements. Strictly applied the change control policy.
Was finally able to get a UAT sign-off after unsuccessful attempts by earlier PM’s.
